Unfortunately at our 10 week ultrasound, we heard the words that no parent wants to hear “ there is no longer a heartbeat.” We were completely devastated and I had to have a d&c.; We were told to wait two cycles to try again and we did. In may, we learned that we were expecting our rainbow baby in January 2018. I have been a nervous wreck the entire pregnancy because i thought that we would lose another baby. Last Wednesday we had a growth scan, baby was perfect but my blood pressure was high. I was monitored and sent home. Thursday i returned to the hospital for high blood pressure and had to have a 24 hour urine collection. Saturday morning i was sent home and I slept all day. I wasn’t feeling well Sunday and early Monday morning, I woke up in pain and returned to labor and delivery at 4am. I could not stop vomiting and was in agony. It was severe preeclampsia. By 9 am I was in the operation room for an emergency c-section. I delivered our rainbow baby boy Landon Nicholas at 33 weeks and 4 days. He weighed 4 lbs 7 ounces and 18 inches long. He is doing amazing! He is no longer on a breathing tube or cpap. We are so blessed! Never give up because after every storm, there is a rainbow. 🌈💙👶🏻
