am i miscarrying?

I went to the ob today to confirm my pregnancy, I went when I was 6 weeks, they couldn't find a baby. when I went today (8weeks) they still didn't see a baby. they did some blood work and I go back in 48 hours for more. just to make sure my hcg levels are right. I'm at a loss for words.

I had a blighted ovum too back in April. it was heartbreaking. I was able to miscarry naturally which was not pleasant physically or emotionally. 
while it doesn't help, there isn't really any explanation for why it  happens. however, not all is lost. We were able to conceive again 2 months later and I am now 24 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby boy! Keep your head up- it will be ok.

Hey Chelsea, I hope your blood work comes back showing levels are doubling. I have read a lot of ppl and drs thinking they had a blighted ovum but they waited had had more test and scans done only to find out everything was fine and they had just ovulated later then they thought. Sadly, you wont know until you take that second hcg blood test. I was told I had a viable pregnancy, but the doctor lied to me about my result. In 48 hours they went up 5000 points instead of 11000, not even a week later my hcg dropped 7000 points. I lost my baby on Thanksgiving night. I pray that this is not the case for you, but I do ask that you take the possibility into consideration for the worst case scenario. It does makes it slightly easier if you get bad news. Praying for you, and that your hcg levels go way up so you can have a healthy beautiful child

UK regulations say that blighted ovum shouldn’t be diagnosed UNTIL the average sac diameter is 25mm. Although a lot of Doctors are quick to say it and offer a D&C; before that point. Don’t do anything yet. I had the same thing in October and challenged them to get more scans etc. It wasn’t until 2 weeks later when you could clearly see the sac had collapsed that I had medical management. There’s a website called misdiagnosed miscarriage that has lots of information and I found it really helpful. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Sorry that's a blighted ovum. Ask for a d&c; if they don't offer you one. I had one last year and carried it for 12 weeks before it passed. It was very traumatic.

It seems like you might have a blighted ovum which unfortunately means your body is thinking it’s pregnant but there’s no baby growing inside your sac. I’m sorry:(
