What’s your take on this...

Hi all! So we have been TTC for three months now. I was supposed to start my period in 4 days, but today i had a gush of blood (dark pink but not bright red). I knew it was a single gush because I felt it come out - tmi, sorry. After that I’ve merely been spotting (no pad needed). If the spotting persists without strengthening, or stops, should I test again? When? Have any of you had implantation bleeding like this? I’m not optimistic about this month, but I also want to be realistic if it’s possible.
