17 and pregnant
I’ve been trying to get help to be able to afford my child. I live in the middle of no where, and there’s no where to get jobs. I haven’t been able to get my license because i wasn’t living at home all summer. I tried to get a job 20 minutes away from me, I went for an interview and orientation.. but then I let the boss know that I was pregnant. I didn’t end up getting an email back..
I’ve been trying to get ahold of Ontario Works, to see if I could get some money so I can start buying stuff for my baby. But since i’m living at home it’s up to my parents to support me. My dad is a full time student and my mom is working a part time job, I have 2 little brothers, and my boyfriend is also living with us. My patents are going into debt now and Ontario Works can’t do anything to help.
My boyfriend and I are suppose to pay rent but he doesn’t have a job either, we’re both full time students..
I’ve tried calling this thing called the leap program and i found out that, that also goes through Ontario Works. And it’s for 16-22 year olds. But I can’t get a meeting until 2 weeks before my due date. How am I suppose to get anything ready for my baby? Does anyone have any ideas? What happens if my baby ends up being pre mature and it’ll be too late to even have a meeting😕
