Does college get harder or easier as it goes on?

So I just finished my first semester in college and it was hell. I was talking to people and I got mixed responses whether college gets easier or harder and I was wondering what y'all thought! Thanks!

Depends on the degree. Usually harder in my experience but that's because most people start off by doing regular prerequisites of English and math and histories. I'm a nursing major. And it keeps getting even more tough. So it depends on your major and the classes you take each semester.

I think you’ll adjust eventually,get more comfortable and 
then WHAM college starts to kick your ass again towards the end.
It’s just about adjustment.

I think it just depends on how well you can handle the rigor and workload.
I went to a small rural high school and now I’m at a big 10 university and I’ve spent the last year and a half struggling through every semester. I’ve failed three classes because I simply couldn’t keep up. I did well in high school without studying or putting in much effort outside of class, and now both those things are a given in college and I’m still struggling to get used to them.
Long story short: just know what to expect and where to go for help when you need it, and you’ll be fine.

Harder. I thought my first semester was hell but I just finished the second and now I know the first was a breeze. Only 10 more semesters left, so I'm pretty scared on how it will escalate lol

It honestly depends each class is different for me. My first Year was a mix of things lol hard and easy

Harder! The first 2 semesters are literally the easiest. Once you get into you major that’s when it gets hard. I’m a junior studying finance and i wish i could go back to freshman year 😂

for my degree it seems like it got easier but its about to get more complicated and a little hard. but overall it depends on the person themselves and the degree and field their studying
