Bleeding in second trimester - help!

I started to bleed on Thursday, at exactly 20 weeks. It was a tiny amount and dark brown. I went to the ER. They said I’d had stress related contractions (I’d been in a minor car accident that morning) and that contractions can cause bleeding. Then, I went to my regular doctor. He said he saw a blood clot in the cervix and it could mean placenta abruption.

I am looking for (read: desperately appealing to hear) any happy endings from women who have had bleeding in the second trimester that went on to have healthy babies.

It has been a very long and rocky road to get this far and I’m doing everything to try and stay calm and pray for the best.
