Is this tacky or wrong??

A couple years ago I was dating someone and right before our one year anniversary I went to Wales and while I was in Wales I got a gift for him it was a Welsh love spoon which is like a tradition there. Between the time I got back and our one year anniversary, he broke up with me. I still have the love spoon and now I’m dating a new guy. Would it be tacky to give him the love spoon for Christmas?

I had to look it up, I'm from the states and I never heard of them. They look beautiful and I read a little bit about the origins and meaning, very interesting. I wouldn't personally regift it to your new boyfriend, just like most women wouldn't want a used engagement ring from a failed engagement, this is a little bit simular to that.

So what happens if your new boyfriend asks where u got it? Either you’d lie & that’s never great in a relationship or you’d tell him the truth & he’d know he was getting something that was originally intended for someone else, see if u can sell it on eBay & use the proceeds to buy him something new :)
