Dog= all animals
My son learned to say dog pretty early on, followed by Stella (our dog's name). So now any animal he sees that is on your legs and furry is dog or Stella. He chased a kitty around yelling "DOG". Poor cat. But if you say to get the shark or giraffe or find the kitty he can do it. Such a silly boy.
