Anyone get hired during pregnancy?

26 weeks pregnant and sent in a resume for a receptionist job on a whim. They got back to me about setting up and interview but now I’m nervous because I’m clearly very pregnant. Currently working full time so if it doesn’t happen then oh well I️ guess but it would be so nice to have an office position with regular daylight hours and holidays/weekends off.

I have known people who have gotten hired while pregnant, so it is definitely possible. A couple of things to note though: 1) assuming your are in the US or another country with similar laws it is against the law to discriminate solely on the basis of pregnancy, that being said it is hard to prove that is happening, but is something to keep in mind if you feel that was considered in your hiring decision. 2) before you accept any offer make sure and find out when their benefits kick in, some companies have waiting periods before all benefits kick in so you could end up with your dream job while not qualifying for their health care, maternity leave, vacation, or other benefits by the time you give birth, just something to be aware of.

I got hired at kohls at 30’weeks pregnant lol. Not a great job but requires standing and stuff and I got that so hoping you get a nice office job cuz you can sit 🤗🤞🏼
