So I got a message from my mom asking if I can take my step brother 1.5hours away and bring him back(so a 3hour trip) to pick up his children.. that the kids mom left them with a babysitter and went down state, and car is broken down so he needs to get them from the sitter by a certain time.. my 3 main problems there,

1.)I have to get my son at 2:40 from school, no one else can get him seeing the teacher needs to talk to me..

2.)they never pay gas money, and I have a gas hog, so to take him, I’m looking at $80 in gas that I have to pay and just don’t have(my husband has my smaller car and left me with the suv)

3.) I’m 35weeks pregnant and high risk, I don’t think I should be going that far away from my doctors.. I also been having a lot of pressure down there and pain, it hurts to sit for a bit.

Anyways now I’m the bad one because I said no, I don’t want to drive him that far.. I’m always getting asked for rides with no money, I always say yes but this time I didn’t.. my mom said I’m selfish because I won’t go.. her step children have no job, no car and leave with my mom and their dad.. I think it’s time for them to get their life’s together seeing they are 24-30years old... am I being selfish for not taking him? 😞
