Getting a job pregnant?

Question

Has anyone started a job pregnant? The company I was working for got shut down the week I found out I was pregnant! I am now 16 weeks and have a job offer. I’d love to take it but I am so nervous when do I have to tell them? Will anyone still hire me if I am honest about being pregnant from the start? I really need a job right now to save to the max for this baby coming in May. Any advice helps :/

I honestly wouldn't tell them until after you are hired. It's not required for you to give them that information unless you want. Then once you hit the 20-22 weeks area, I'd let them know that you are pregnant, you'd like to continue working as long as possible but you wanted to make sure the baby was strong before sharing. They can't fire you for being pregnant.

I was in the same situation.... I had two job interviews and with both I told them I was pregnant and I didn’t get the job because they don’t want to hire a pregnant person. They find it to much work and they think you aren’t able to do what everyone else can do.!!! 
So my next job interview I am definitely not telling them till a few weeks after I get the job, I might twist the truth a tiny bit and say I’m about 15 weeks when I’m really 18 weeks to just make it sounds a bit better! Haha

You don’t need to tell them until after you are hired. If you do tell them and they don’t hire you it’s discrimination.
