Do lines have to be dark for an ovulation test to mean you are ovulating?

that's not true !!!! a faded line or a single line is a negative but a semi dark and really dark is positive . here's a chart to better show you. it  be confusing to me sometimes too I always go back to the chart it never lies

The test line has to be darker than or he same color as the control line.

mine is all over the place. I don't know what's happening, but I'm being positive And hopeful. here's my little chart from after I spotted Nov 27 started around 7 ish till 30th morning time and I started testing the 3 rd but lost that test it was darkish and I started charting since

the last is the 7th

7, 8, 9, 10 looks darkish to me idk...... my pm tests look light always so idek why I test twice it's a waist but I just want to know... but....
so idk what's happened smh

Not necessarily. I used the Dollar Store brand and only received lines the two days before I ovulated. If I hadn't been using first response opk's at the same time I wouldn't have known they were positive
