Hey all, just a little background.. I’m 22 and 11 weeks pregnant.

My OBGYN called me today to inform me I have HPV. I honestly didn’t know anything about HPV so I spent the last few hours reading up on what it means for me, my husband and our baby.

Thankfully, the baby will be ok & it won’t be transmitted to them.

When my OBGYN was explaining it to me I had a hard time following what she was saying because I was just so shocked- but one thing that I remember her saying is on a scale of 1-10 (10 being most worrisome) I’m a 3. Does anyone know what this means for me?? And should I use condoms with my husband now? I know we’re both infected but I’m not sure if continued unprotected sex can increase the risk of it becoming precancerous?

**Also neither of us have any symptoms & I found out from my pap smear

I will ask her all of these questions the next time I see her, but wasn’t sure if someone could answer in the meantime.
