I'm 31 weeks and don't do them. I think if I did it would make me paranoid that something is wrong. I just trust my instincts.

drs usually say 28 or 30 weeks but usually (especially if its not your first)  if you dont feel kicks after awhile just drink or eat something sweet and lay down to get baby to move

wait till 28 weeks. im 28 weeks & sometimes my little girl is just in a position that i cant feel all her movements. but most days i feel her constantly. just dont get too worked up over it till third trimester

I never did them and I'm pregnant with my 3rd, nor had my midwife ever told me to do them. I think that as a mother you need to learn to trust your instinct. if I feel like my baby is moving leas than normal then a pay attention and go from there. I don't think that counting kicks for a certain amount of time everyday makes sense.  you should know when your baby's movements are abnormal.
