What does pregnancy feel like?

I'm still really young and not planning on having kids for a few more years but I still find myself wondering what being pregnant is like. What is your experience emotionally and physically being pregnant. please don't censor yourselves either. I want to know the raw truth

its rough.. mentally and physically takes a toll on your body.. everything gets harder ... money, social life, relationships, dating, amount of friends.. coming from someone who is 19 and pregnant.. i love my daughter, but i should have listened to everyone when they told me to wait.. no one can tell you how hard it is, no matter what people tell you, ypu think it wont be that bad... but it is so fucking hard you wont realize it till its too late... so think hard about it now

Everything the other folks said plus the FATIGUE! I habe never felt a tiredness like the first 18 weeks of my pregnancy. You can read about peoples' experience with preganancy (and you should, there is sooopo much that goes on and having an idea of what might happen makes things less scary, I think) but actually feeling it is a whole 'nother ball game. I new swelling was a possibility but I never really thought about it until my tennis shoes started cutting into my feet 😂. Its weirdly like being given a whole new body every month and you have to figure out how to operate it. Can't eat this anymore, can't sit this way, nope on those shoes and those pants, how do you turn this body over without waking all the way up in the middle of the night??? But also like other people said, Its magical to think that you provided the environment for a new lofe to form ! Amd that you can love them so much before you even kmow what they look or sound like 😍😍😍

Its pretty rough. For me atleast. Not being able to eat, everything makes you wanna throw up! Alot of itchiness! Extremely tired all the time, and back aches! And the horrible mood swings! Depression is an on and off problem for me too. Random shooting pains suck. But the good part is giving a little human life! So all the pain and stress ends up being worth it!

I'm 9w5d and had a miscarriage in August. I have a lovely condition called hyperemis that meant I was violently throwing up 5-15 times a day, and I don't count the acid reflux vomit that ends up in my throat. I've needed fluids twice due to severe dehydration. I was finally put on medication and it helps.  The fatigue is insane. Constant nausea. Severe gas pain that almost nothing seems to help. I can't poop!  Headaches that don't go away with Tylenol. I've been in bed for a month, I'm just a useless blob of anxiety. Oh the dizziness is great. I cry every day, usually while I'm throwing up despite the meds. I want to be a mom so badly though, and at this point I'm hoping my symptoms let up some soon but it's not always the case with hyperemis.

I’m 20, currently 38 weeks pregnant with baby #1 & let me tell you it is a roller coaster. You’re on cloud 9 until reality sets in & then it’s just straight up anxiety. You’ll worry about everything, even the color of your poop. Google will be your best friend even though you know you shouldn’t use it as a doctor. Your lifestyle basically changes over night because as soon as you get the positive test you need to monitor EVERYTHING that goes in or near your body. You have to be able to understand that it’s not about you anymore & put the baby’s best interest before your own. But it’s also the most amazing experience I’ve ever been through. Feeling her move & seeing her kick... getting to see her on ultrasound, picking out all of her things... there’s just no way to explain it. It’s the best decision my fiancé & I ever made but it’s also the hardest decision we’ve ever had to cope with.

Absolutely exhausting, mentally and physically. More than you have ever experienced before or can imagine. I love that I’m making my baby but my body is absolutely miserable all the time. Even those sweet little kicks have turned into often painful ones that take my breath away. I want to cry every time I have to be in a car because of back pain. I’m swollen like everywhere and it hurts to move. Stomach bloating is no joke and makes moving or trying to sleep so uncomfortable. You have to pee every time you move. Like literally.  I’m so excited to meet my baby and so glad I’m able to carry him but being pregnant has been pretty damn miserable.

When I was pregnant it first started with being morning sick a lot! I still felt like myself at the beginning though. I was just a nauseous all the time. Then that faded and I started to feel like a whale and I just hated how I look. Pregnancy also gave me acne, horrible stretch marks, and discolorations. I definitely wasn’t “glowing”. Then I got PUPPs which is a pregnant rash that doesn’t hurt the baby but just makes you itchy everywhere, especially on your stretch marks and the only thing that makes that go away is giving birth. Now I’m 3 months postpartum and my stomach looks so disgusting from the stretch marks and the scars from itching. I also got my scars 2 months after giving birth because I had to get my gall bladder removed because little did I know that pregnancy could possibly cause gallstones. But in the end would I do it all over again? I would because it gave my beautiful son and never thought I could love anything so much until I met him💕

I’ve had a pretty easy pregnancy so far (I’m 25+2 now), but it’s not easy. It was definitely not fun for a lot of the first trimester with nausea, no appetite, headaches, fatigue, etc. I fainted and hit my face when I was 9 weeks, but it’s gotten much better since then. Overall, even in the second trimester when there are times of the day and days at a time when I generally feel pretty good, it kind of compares to getting over the flu. You may feel like you’re totally recovered at some points of the day, but you realize that you don’t feel 100% healthy and yourself. That said, It’s an amazing experience that I’m so happy to be having, but its definitely something that I’m glad I was totally ready for.

My little boy has been very good to me :) didn’t have morning sickness, just felt a bit off a few times. I guess I was a bit more tired at the start but nothing major. No odd cravings or drastic mood swings. I’m 29 weeks now and my back hurts sometimes but really I’ve been lucky so far. Il agree about worrying about everything tho! It would be so much easier if they could talk to you from in there when you are worried something might be wrong! 😂
