I'm in the 3rd trimester, currently 33 weeks and at my 31 week scan this what my ultrasound said , what does it mean? Is everything okay? ...Placenta - posterior & lt. Lateral grade 2 ... and amniotic fluid index =12

At that far along, your OB would’ve called you right away if something was wrong. If you’re that worried call them and ask.

I’m not a doctor but I would say that they would have told you if anything was alarming. I can tell you posterior means it’s in the back which is fine being anterior or posterior really doesn’t make a difference. I wouldn’t worry too much

It's just describing what they saw and it's pretty normal for how far along. When they say placenta posterior it's just describing where your placenta is. mine is anterior. and I'm 36 weeks and my amniotic fluid is at 8 so 12 is more than likely normal for 33 weeks. I hope I helped 🤷‍♀️
