World is crashing down.

I've always thought something was "different " about my daughter.. she was diagnosed with a speech delay last year no big deal. Well today I was at a clinic and this lady stopped me. She said she has a 22 year old son that is autistic and that my daughter reminded her of him at that age... I've already had an appointment set up for later this year (soonest they could get her in) to have her evaluated for it... I immediately walked into her ped. And she said she is definitely showing signs of autism... my world is crushed. What did I do wrong? How could I have prevented this? I just don't want my baby outcasted..
