How do you let go of the past?

It's been a year since my heart got broken by cheating and I don't know how to be okay again.. The pain is still there and it hurts a lot. I'm so scared to get hurt again by anyone else....

It's gonna be okay, relax, time always kills the pain also stop with the attitude " my heart is gonna be broken again" if you think that, believe me you will be heartbroken. Think positive

I a firm believer that it all starts with you ( the recovery process) you have to try think about how you can move on now from this. It's not easy you have to detach your self from the thing that happened to you because it does not make you who you are, you make you who you are. We all process things at a different rate something I that might take me a week or two to get over can take another person months or maybe years and it's alright, as long as it hasn't stopped you from living your life and leaving you open to possibly meeting some one new. Just take what happened as an experience and nothing more and nothing less something that can help you choose better in the future. No one deserves to be cheated on, but everyone deserve the right to move on and you deserve that right.
