I've been dating someone I have some serious feelings for and he warned me that he has herpes and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to not get it if we decide to sleep together?

I have herpes (my ex gave it to me) and I’ve been with my boyfriend 6 months and I’ve not given it to him.
My doctor just told me to make sure I don’t get overly stressed or ill because that’s when it’s likely to come back. You only have to worry if he’s having a breakout.

coming from a women who has herpes and has been with my boyfriend for a year. me and him have never used protection. not saying do t use protection. but he still to this day hasn't gotten it. it really depends on the severity of his herpes. does get out breaks? does he take medication for it and all that
