If I think it’s possible he cheating we don’t need to be together.
If I tell him imma get tested he gone look at me and be like “why? Who you sleeping with?” So naw.
I get tested during my pregnancies but then again my doctor always does them

You only get one body in this lifetime. You are responsible for taking care of it and protecting it from harm. Some stds are silent while they cause damage.. why refuse a simple test at your regular check up. Because of trust? Plenty of women get cheated on or lied to about previous partners that never saw it coming. They trusted their partner too.

OH YES!!!! I Work in an obgyn/family practices and I seen women whom been with spouse for YEARRRRSSSSS  be let down by their spouse. Women in their 60s coming back positive for HIV gonorrhea chlamydia it only being tested because they're starting to have symptoms after years... Even seeing a spouse get tested after her husband has died and end up having HIV never knew she had it just wanted to get tested before dating again. so with that being said it's not always about trusting your spouse you have to take care your body first.

i get tested yearly ...i dont want to be blind to the possibilities...my health comes first..i have a degree in math so both events are a 50/50 shot

For some reason my Gyno always tests me during my yearly appointment. She’ll ask how ling I’ve been with my partner (now husband) but always tests anyway. I wonder if once she knows we’re married this will stop. I don’t think there’s a need to get tested unless I suspect something or feel something with my body is off. I’ll still get my papsmear just to be clear of hpv since it’s required where I am.

I’m honestly surprised by how many people said no , Why wouldn’t you want to get checked just to be on the safe??  side you never know
, No offense but some of y’all are probably walking around with STDs for years & don’t even know it because you’re not getting checked also untreated STDs Are one of the top causes in infertility among other things , you can never be too certain whether your partner is being faithful and unfortunately it’s not always best to rely your health based on your trust for them plus not always did cheating cause STDs you both can be 100 percent committed and due to bacteria’s and other things you could end up getting something

You never know. All STD’s aren’t transmitted through sex. Some could be by bodily fluids. Like sitting on a public restroom toilet.

I don't get annual any types of checks. I trust my husband to the extent that I would risk not getting checked. I would get checked if I got pregnant again though I just wouldn't go out of my way to do it.

yes because though I love him and trust him to an extent, this is my health we're talking about and if he has done something(someone) out of our marriage behind my back (trusting to an extent that he's as faithful to me as I am to him) getting checked puts some of those untrusting thoughts at ease.(I'm just a very defensive person when it comes to my heart) anyways since me and my husband don't use protection getting checked is still something I do to protect myself health wise and emotionally
