Induction or Chinese torture?

I've been diagnosed with cholestasis. They scheduled an induction date for January 7th today. I'm super nervous as I've never been induced before. Is it as bad as they say? Advice?!

No, it is not that bad. Induction is easy and it's pretty nice to be able to stay in bed for awhile. Although I do recommend that you get the epidural as contractions hit you like a brick wall. They will inject a little serum into your arm that starts contractions and they insert a little pill into your cervix to soften it and open it. Most women give birth within 24 hours of being induced. you'll be fine as long as you relax and let the meds take their course.
