How many oz to give in bottle?

My daughter mostly exclusively breastfeeds, but occasionally ill pump. If I do give her a bottle, how many oz does she get? She’s 3wks old. And when do I increase the amount she gets?

it's incredibly variable from child to child I suggest trying 2 Oz to start and then upping it to 3 then 4. it's really hard to tell you'll just have to do trial and error

I would start with 2oz. At most I would give 3oz. Try doing a weighted feed to see what baby transfers so you will have a better idea what baby takes in. With that in mind BM doesnt need to be increased over time like formula does.

At 3 weeks, 1.5-2oz should be good. And always do paced feeding

Is there a reason she sometimes gets a bottle so young? The general consensus is to avoid bottles until approx. 6 weeks.
