Breast and formula?

I want to try breastfeeding but with my previous babies I didn't make enough milk is it okay to pump what can and also use formula if I'm not producing enough this time? The other ones I just switched to formula because I eventually dried out completely

Yes, it's definitely okay to supplement with formula! You can always talk to a lactation consultant to get some tips on maintaining a good supply to see if you can breastfeed without having to supplement, but if you have to add some formula that's perfectly okay!

I would suggest becoming knowledgeable about breastfeeding so what happened the last times font happen again. giving formula will eventually decrease your supply.

yes!! I am currently doing both with my 2 week old. I planned to exclusively breastfeed but it didn't work out because my milk didn't come in until day 6 and it has been very low. I pump and only get 3ml. it was very upsetting but we are now in a good routine of nursing and supplementing with 3oz of formula in a bottle after. He sleeps better with the formula and I know he is getting enough so we are both happy!
