I like the level of control I have with pills. You definitely have to be on top of things (I set a phone alarm for 10:00 every night), but I like that I can go off and on when I want or need. And, they get rid of my insane PMS

My stomach couldn’t take pills. I was nauseated and miserable daily. I’m also TERRIBLE at remembering to take pills, so it just was an all around bad choice. 
I got the Mirena IUD 3yrs ago, and I love it. No worry, lighter periods, and I don’t have to remember to take something daily.
