Would you ever go to a restaurant that costs several hundred dollars a person? (You have to pay, no cheating CC).
As an example here’s Chicago’s Alinea. Prices vary per meal, but it’s usually around $265 per person. NYE is close to $500. However it’s 16-18 courses, and considered an experience more than normal dining. Here’s some examples of dishes served.
