Just saw this on Facebook, and since CC looks like it's going to be fun this weekend 🙄, I figured I'd add a lighthearted debate. So is it a sign, decoration, or both?

so glad I don't live in an HOA. I don't believe on Jesus, but what harm is this sign causing? If the neighbor puts a huge blow up menorah in their yard, would they get treated the same?

I once read about an HOA dispute where a request for a child’s playhouse was denied. The kicker? The playhouse was a Make-a-Wish donation for a little girl who had leukemia. That’s when I decided HOAs were kind of bullshit.

Whenever I read something about an HOA

I would avoid one like the plague. I’m not going to sign up/pay to have a bunch of bored and nosey neighbors all up on like 1/2 in. too high lawn.

This is why I’d rather own my land and be free from joining anybody’s HOA I’ll be damned if I paint my house or decorate my lawn according to what someone else wants.

I would take down my sign and write “Jesus” in Christmas lights on the side of my house as big as I possibly could. I’m not a religious person but this is ridiculous.

If the sign/decoration doesn’t meet the qualifications of the HOA agreement the homeowner signed, then it should be removed. If there are no violations the other neighbors need to calm down. Not for nothing, I Love Jesus BUT that sign is tacky. I wouldn’t be happy if my neighbor put that up 😒
