we have 15 photo albums. BIG, THICK ONES.  after that,  I gave up and bought a digital high Resolution frame. it holds over 12k pics and 300 videos (or less, depending on video sizes ) . I spent too much money on ink,  too much time and money at Walgreens to print them.  now I only do albums for special events.( birthdays, easter, Halloween,  thanksgiving,  Christmas,  future trips to Disney,  or out of country etc) everything else gets saved on two different external drives  (yep, I have a back up, for my back up ) and get uploaded to the digital frame. when the frame is full,  I buy another one. they are about 500 bucks, but I've spent that much in buying ink for my printer alone so far. . the frame is saving me so much money in the long run, not to mention - time

Yeah I make one Shutterfly book a year. The app is nice- you can send your best photos to an “album” (folder) direct from your phone. Once I get a coupon code I just have shutterfly make a book from that album, tweak it a bit, and done.

At the end of each year I put together an album and get it printed. It costs about $20-40 depending on how many pages I end up having and then I put them ina larger binder. I have one for family in general and one specifically for my daughter that will be hers to keep when she's older.
