OPK Question- is LH surge the day you ovulated when counting DPO?

Hi!! 
Trying to determine how many DPO I am! I had a dark LH surge on the 19th, and still dark on the 20th (but not as dark).  I know the LH surge signals you will be ovulating, soooo which day should I count as ovulation day? Thank you!!
