I run daycare from my home. The last few weeks the 14 month old that I watch has started running to me and jumping in my lap to hug me when she is dropped off. Her parents tell me she is not affectionate like that at home. I try to be standing when she is dropped off so she's not tempted to cuddle me but I am often on the floor playing. I have her 5 days a week, up to 14hrs a day (usually about 10) so it's a lot. I am just wondering; if you were the parent would you be more happy that your child likes their care provider or sad that they like them that much?
