Baby movements

Jamie

Hi all, just a question about baby movements! I see heaps of posts about decreased movement or change in movements etc, especially for those past 28 weeks and to go to get checked out. I’ve never really understood the stress about it, I’m 35 weeks and my girl has never a set routine/pattern, whenever anyone asks me if there’s a particular time she’s more active I just say no, because there isn’t. We could easily go a day with next to no or just no movement, and then have another day of her absolutely thrashing about, all.day.long. All the tips about eating some sweet or sugary, drinking some juice or cold water, or just lying down and relaxing have literally never made a difference either. Anyone else like this? It’s weird to me when I see people freaking out they haven’t felt baby move in so many hours no matter what they do, because that’s like everyday normal to me haha. I’m not concerned at all, all my tests and scans and everything else has been completely normal. Just kinda curious. Is anyone else the same? Or am I just weird haha.

Also I dunno if it’s the same for everyone, but all her movements HURT. Like make me stop and grimace while it’s happening hurt. Ever since her first distinct movements, it’s always hurt. Again, I’m not too concerned or worried about it because that’s normal for me and everything else is coming back as normal and healthy, just curious.

*yes I do have a midwife and she is well aware of all of this. Since everything else is normal she’s not concerned either* Thanks!

Yes this is a repost haha after some know it all tried to start drama 😂
