Anyone in the UK for some advice???

Can anyone tell me when you should make your first appointment in the UK after finding out you're pregnant!? I've seen posts about Drs not seeing you til 8 weeks but not sure if that is just on the US!?

I don’t think you need to see the GP, I’m sure it’s the midwife you go to but phone your surgery up and the receptionist will let you know 😊

I called the local midwives (got no from Gp surgery) when I found out I was pregnant. My ‘booking’ appointment was at 9 weeks

I have my first appointment at 8 weeks, that’s just to register then they usually book a midwife at 10 weeks then scan between 12-13 weeks

I went to see my GP after 3 positive tests, they phoned through to Midwife department and my Midwife appointment was booked there and then for the week after and I had a scan booked as well by dr for the day after Midwife

I went to my docs the first week I found out (5 weeks), they just asked me a couple of questions and gave me a leaflet with a number on it to call and book my first midwife appointment and scan. I had my first midwife appointment at 8 weeks and first scan at 12!

Anyone in the UK for some advice???
