Has anybody use the two? I've been on lamictal for bipolar disorder and I have an iud and I've heard that it can make your bc not work. But I've only heard it for the pills.

My psychiatrist said it was ok but I'm still a little nervous 😩. I'd rather not switch bc if I don't have to.

My doctors office isn't open this week except for emergencies so I wound be able to contact them.

If anybody has used the two did your gynecologist have any issues with it?

UPDATE: thank you guys!! I really appreciated your input. While I wasn't able to get ahold of my doctor I was able to call my pharmacy and ask them. They told me the lamictal would have NOT EFFECT a hormonal iud. But they did inform me that the iud could 'possibly' make lamictal less effective. I don't take lamictal for my seizures I take something else. I was going to switch to just lamictal but I'm glad I didn't 😅. But I thought I should let you guys know that in case you were curious.
