Horrible dry scalp. Any advice??

I have been having a horrible dry flaky scalp for awhile now. I have tried dandruff shampoos and conditioners. Tried moisturizer shampoos and conditioners. Even tried this Milkshake conditioner spray in that salons use. I wash my hair like every 3-4 days so I’m not over washing it.
Idk how to make it stop and go away. It’s mainly in the front above my forehead.
Anyone have similar problem with solutions?

Hairstylist here- stay far away from dandruff shampoos as dry scalp and dandruff are two different things. Dandruff Shampoo will only dry your scalp out further. Stay away from anything heavily scented (mainly drug store products) because they contain high levels on alcohol which will dry you out even more. I would highly recommend the Mitch Double Hitter by Paul Mitchell. It’s a shampoo conditioner in one, sulfate free and is seriously one of the best products out there in my opinion for dry scalp!! It has transformed some of my clients scalps within two weeks! It suds up really nice so a tiny nickel size amount will go a long way, the bottle will last you! It’s worth every penny! My husband and I both use it and a small 16oz bottle usually lasts us about 3 months or sometimes a little longer! It’s in a black and white squeeze tube with a yellow line across it! Have you tried using Tea tree oil or witch hazel? I’ve heard of doing Apple cider vinegar treatments but not sure how they work, haven’t researched it.

Same problem here! I bought a shampoo scrubbing brush & found that it helps a lot!

I will rub coconut oil on my scalp and let it sit for awhile before I shampoo. Also my mom swears by adding tea tree oil to her shampoo.
