Has anyone taken Clomid?

I recently got diagnosed with diabetes but other than that, fertility wise nothing else seemed wrong. But my Ob has me start Clomid bc I’m on the higher end of the spectrum for one of my levels. He had me take it vaginally instead of orally and test ovulation with clear blue advance. I still haven’t had my lh surge:( my ultrasound today (CD16) show 9 follicles with the prominent one being 22.4mm. But the egg hadn’t dropped yet. Has anyone else ovulated late or taken clomid vaginally?
