Am i wrong for this?

I told everyone when i go into birth please don’t post any photos of my child on social media until i do myself or you ask for permission... everyone got mad including my mom saying “ima post my grandchild if i want to” but yet I’m the mom... am i wrong for this?

No that’s your decision I agree with you I’d rather share that with just my family and not all of my friends. I think you should tell your mother she’s going to either respect your wishes or she’s not allowed into the room. Whether you mean it or not isn’t the point it’ll show her how serious you are about it.

Not wrong at all. I refuse to even send my grandmother a picture of my child when he is born for the sheer fact that she has already said she will post his picture when she wants to.
She posted a picture of my cousins son a few months ago... it was a picture meant for family (not a flattering picture of my cousin after just given birth) .... when she was told to remove it and was told not to post pictures without my cousins permission, she stated her friends wanted to see the pictures and she was getting a lot of “likes”.
She said she would do the same when my son is here..... and it was then that I decided she will not get a picture of him until I’m ready to post him.

Nope! I’m telling everyone that my husband and I are to post about our daughter being born before anyone else. If someone doesn’t follow that request they will get the wrath of me. I don’t even want anyone posting about me going into labor. There will be hell to pay if my wishes aren’t respected. Not to mention, we’d like all of our closest friends and family to meet her in person before they see a picture of her on Facebook.

Nope your not. Your right. I would go crazy if my mum or my mum in law posted about the birth before I did. This is why I kept my pregnancy very quite cause your get your family getting involved.

Not at all. I requested the same thing when my son was born and everyone was very respectful of it. They all posted after I did. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Worked Out great.

You’re not wrong. It’s your child. I personally dislike people posting pictures of people’s children without their permission. Do what you believe is best for your child.
