With two kids at 13 and 9 I would guess you probably don’t have any more baby stuff and would need everything again! I say throw a shower. I could definitely see if you had smaller ones closer in age to this baby, but go for it!!!

We are having our second and not doing anything since both are girls and will only be 1.5 years apart.  But since your youngest is 9, you can get away with a shower or sprinkle if you want.

Baby #3 for me also and my other two are 13 and 14 so I'm really starting over. I hope to have a shower, not necessarily for the gifts or anything but I didn't have much with my first since it was unplanned and I was really young. Now that I'm "grown up", I'd love to have that experience.

what is a sprinkle? 
you could have a baby bbq (obviously no eating the children) where your older kids could also invite some friends and get involved as well. people will still bring gifts for new baby but it might feel more like celebrating your new addition and less like a gift grab if that is what is worrying you.

We are having number two about a year and a half after the first, and I don’t think we’re having anything. First was a boy, this one is a girl. I would just feel greedy asking all those people to show up with gifts again already haha. I know our family will help us with some of the baby purchases.

My sister had a gap between her baby and her youngest so her Sister-in-law and I through a family and close friend sprinkle for her. It was most gor diapers and a few of the other things they needed.

idk why you couldn't have a shower? ask your friends and family if they'd wanna do something like that. Our family and friends would be upset if we didn't have one. Worth a shot

I’m having baby number four ages 11y girl, 7y boy and 5y boy. I still have the gear I’ll need besides a few things, like new car seat .I’m having another girl so it’s Been almost 11 years and I do not have girl clothes and little necessities we might do something small just because it’s another girl but I’m not asking for big items. Although after I had our second child and it was a boy after a girl we did not have a shower or anything.
