checking your own cervix???

Do any of you ladies check your own cervix? if you do you twll your dr how far dilated you are? are you accurate with what your dr says?

I don’t even get cervix checks at the doc so why would I do them at home?

I have done it but I believe the doctors don't recommend you do it so I never said anything

it is not recommended to ever check your own cervix during pregnancy. you increase risk of infection. Keep your hands out of there. It's not recommended for doctors to check your cervix during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary.

I check it almost daily to track my cycle, but in pregnancy not till towards the end and with very clean hands. It's pure curiosity for me. dilation does not indicate how soon labour wil start or how long it will last
