controversial "rant"? (Not site specific)

Question

I've been seeing this everywhere and its so confusing for me...when some says that you need to ignore your doctor's advice. (not when someone suggests you look into it more, but when someone flat out says "ignore your doctor and do this") 
first, their doctor knows the condition and how severe it is, you do not. you also don't know what medications.they can/cannot take (etc). 
second, you can (at least in the state I live in) can be held accountable for anything that happens to that person should they take your advice and ignore their doctor....you can also be in trouble for giving out medical advice with no degree. 
you're all obviously welcome to voice your own opinions if you'd like. I'm always open to hear the other side and why someone would tell another person to disregard a doctor's advice.

My problem with doctors is the medical industry has largely been bought out by the pharmaceutical industry. Doctors over-prescribe and under-treat, in my opinion. I would never tell someone to ignore the diagnosis from the doctor, because that isn't my place. I may say what I would do in that situation, but that's about it.

I'm gonna put myself on blast hear because I have in the past said "oh don't be silly, ur fine" about something the Dr has said. In my defense, its because I have a serious distrust of DR's. My daughter was misdiagnosed for 9 years with a serious metabolic disease. They told me she wouldn't survive and if she did, she would be in a vegetative state. Low and behold, my daughter is 11, runs circles around me literally and does not stop talking. 
It has got to the point where I even make my own headache tablets using natural herbs etc etc. 
I say, each to their own. Everyone has different belief systems.

It depends on where you go. Kaiser 'forgot' to tell my mom she had a heart attack and wanted to put her in blood thinners, despite the fact that her blood was normal and within healthy range. She also has diabetes and they wanted her to start insulin shots, but when she confronted them about the cost, they backed down and told her she could try diet and exercise but it wouldn't work for her. She consulted a dietician and has never used insulin shots. Whenever somebody questions something they hear from their kaiser doctor, I always tell them to get a second opinion. Some doctors look out for your best interests, some don't. I refuse go to Kaiser, and if not for insurance I wish my mom could too.

I don't know about the kind of doctors yall go to. But my doctor hardly EVER prescribes me anything simply because it's not really necessary. The human body has surprisingly advanced ways of healing itself over time. Communication with your doctor is key and putting down the people that have the ability and knowledge to save your life is pretty sad.

Prescription drug companies make a net worth of $85 BILLION a year. Lol and you really think doctors have your best interest at heart? No, they want the money. Drug companies conference call your doc regularly so that they can push drugs on you that you don't need. Obviously, modern medicine is amazing but for you to believe everything your doctor says? That's stupid. Cannabis is illegal on the federal level in the U.S. but yet they have patented cannabanoids, label it an antioxidant and it can be used to help diabetes, heart disease, seizures, headaches, basically any ailment/disease. They patent it, cook it up in their labs and send it off to pharmacies but then the same gov will turn around and arrest people for possessing it in plant form, and schedule it in a way that states it has no medical value. That is just one example of how extreme this stuff goes. Anyone pushing prescription drugs are not your friend. Wake up and get a second, third, fourth opinion. Do your own research before you allow chemicals into your body without knowing all the risks. Our neighbor died of lung cancer because her doc, who she had her entire life, did not want to tell her the severity of her situation. He said she was fine..she went to another doc a couple months later and he told her she has less than six months to live. If her doctor hadn't been so scared to tell her, she may have been able to get the treatment she needed! So really? Should we trust them just because they have M.D. behind their name?
