My stepdaughter has boyfriends and if they get married then what am I of their future husband? Am I a step mother in law or nothing?

My ex husband had a step mother and I always called her my mother in law.

My boyfriend has a step mother and she calls herself my mother in law already. 😂

My husband has a mother and step-mother, if people know her I call her by her name, if they know my husband I call her his step-mum, if they know neither I call her my step-mother-in-law, if it’s not relevant that they know she’s not his mother I call them his parents, it’s just quicker, as in “we’re visiting his parents this weekend”.  I also have a step-grandmother, which I find a weird one to say out loud.

Well I’m kinda close to both my stepparents, and I call them by their names and so does my fiancé. 
I guess if he were to explain it to someone else? Then it would be his fiancé’s step mother. He only counts my father and mother as his in-laws because they birthed and raised me. (I didn’t have step parents until I was 18) 
So it really depends on what your step daughter refers to you as. If it’s mom then you’ll be labeled mother in law, if it’s by your name then it will probably just be your name.

Suppose it depends on the relationship. My mom has step parents. My dad calls her step father his father-in-law. He doesn’t call her step mother anything except by her name (or he might explain “my wife’s step mother”). My mom is a lot closer to her step dad than her step mom.
