Got the u shaped one and HATED IT! It’s huge and made my neck hurt. I just ended up buying two regular pillows to add to my already two pillows! 
If you sleep on your side just put one under your back a little so it supports your lumbar! That helped me a lot!

I really like the Leachco Back ‘n Belly body pillow (u-shaped). It’s helped a LOT with my lower back pain. I’ve used it every night since I got it!
