Baby clothes washing

I am struggling with whether or not to wash all the clothes we have received at the baby shower. Most are 0-3 months and 3-6 months. We did get some hand me downs and I washed though just cause they've been stored. But my thinking with the baby shower gifts is they are all brand new and if she doesn't wear them or outgrows them and I've taken tags off to wash then I can't return or resell.
What did you do? Is it a big deal to not wash them before she wears them?

What about picking out a few you really like washing those then exchanging the others for bigger sizes? Especially the 0-3 months. That way you can start to get the 6-9 months.

Only wash a few in case she's to big for them, this way you can return them if they don't fit.

Use what you've got washed first and see if you're going to need the new things. You can always wash them then.

I think you shouldn't wash them,I regret it,cause she had a ton of new born and 0-3 months clothes that ALL didn't fit her cause she was born 10pounds + and I got stuck with all of these outfits that she couldn't wear,I wish I didn't wash many things because then at least I would have gave them away or gifted them back, here people don't like hand me downs even if they haven't been worn 😏

I didn't expect so many clothes! Haha & totally understandable. I'm sure everyone wants new. But when you can't afford to much you take what you get :) I'll keep all tags on till I know she can wear them.

I only bought a few newborn sizes, and focussed on a basic amount of 0-3 month, and washed those. I figure if she needs more I can buy when I know what size she actually is! All the larger clothes I bought or were given I kept the tags on just in case they don't fit in the right season eye. Besides, in six months the clothes could smell musty and need to be washed again.

Most of the tags says to wash before they wear it. I'm washing all of mine and if she doesn't wear it I'll just donate it or sell it. I would suggest washing them cause you never know who was touching it or something like that. I got a blanket, brand new, from my shower and saw that it had some spit up or crusted food on it. Assuming it could've been a messy child or adult touching stuff unknowingly. So I would wash everything.

You definitely have to wash them before you put them on your baby. Pick one or two things and save the rest for a quick load of laundry if you decide to keep them! I'm not washing any newborn stuff until I know she will fit in it.

Was newborn if you have them, they won't be in them long. I washed her 0-3 months 1 month before in case I went early

I washed all the clothes. Saves time in the long run and even if they don't fit you can give them to someone who's having the same sex as you

I would wash them before putting them on your baby. Just don't wash everything. I got a lot of summer 0-3 month clothes... I only washed a few outfits just in case I need to return some.
