Pump time?

How long do you ladies usually pump for? Baby is 4 days old and I've been pumping 15 minutes, both sides at the same time.

At tht time i had an oversupply. I never pumped longer than 12 minutes. I would get about 3-4 ounces per breast. I would feed 3 then freeze the rest. If you want to make more milk pump longer , but i wouldnt go over 20 min. At tht early stage i pumped every 3 hours.

Btw. I EPd for 11 months.

I don’t do more than 20 minutes a side. My morning session is 20 minutes and then throughout the day they are 10-15 minutes.

I pump until empty. That takes about 20-25 minutes (both sides at the same time) 
If you want to increase your supply, pump until empty + 5 minutes.

I pump until empty, usually 30-35 minutes. Occasionally if I'm stressed and having problems with letdown I gave to go 45 minutes. I have twins so I probably have to pump longer than average.

I did 20 plus until my supply got better.  Everyone’s let down is a little different.  Just pay attention if you are still flowing then go longer so you don’t get clogged.
