Cold sores/fever blisters??

Has anyone been struggling with cold sores now that your immune system is weakened?! What can be done?!

I get them crazy bad from a virus I got when I was a baby. Ask your dr about acyclovir, it works well for me.

I get them. They suck. But as soon as I feel one coming on I hold an alcohol cloth on it and alternate with ice. Keeps them from swelling up or spreading. Mine are gone in 3 days. No drugs needed.

I got them with my 1st pregnancy and I was scared because I'd never had them before. A few days after they started, I rembered I had just started to take DHA supplements which I believe were made from fish oil. I immediately stopped taking the supplements and they went away. I'm not allergic to fish or any type of seafood that I know of but for some reason I get that reaction from fish oil.

You are able to take Valtrex for it ! It's safe for baby, just speak to your midwife/doctor.

I I take acyclovir  (valtrex) my ob gave me a prescription for it.  Also I know this sounds horrible but nail polish remover kills them fast.  Probably not best idea when pregnant but it works!
