Oral sex & Pubic hairs

So my boyfriend hasn't seen me in over a week and he tells me he wants to eat me out soon he sees me ...problem is I haven't shaved yet...the last time I shaved i shaved to much and received a yeast infection ,with some other contributions ..but all in all my doctor told me pubic hair catches all the bad bacteria from going into the vagina ...i really want him to do it but I'm always self conscious about it. any advice of how it should be trimmed so that the hairs isn't a problem ?
