Advice on long distance / going off to college?

Question

Me & my boyfriend have been together for almost a year (but we’ve actually been in love since the 7th grade which is a completely different story) 
We both graduate from high school this upcoming June and are going off to different colleges 3 hours apart (which isn’t that far, I know!) 
Do you guys have any advice on long distance? Anything is helpful. We’ve talked about it many times and have decided we definitely want to make it work.

Though I’m not in the exact situation, I am in a long distance relationship. I’m in college in Baltimore Maryland and my boyfriend is working in Texas as of right now.  I would advise you that you will both need to communicate. It’s going to be a challenge, lonely nights and some jealousy too. But if you truly love him and you both know that this is something that you want to last, then that will hold you until you see each other again. But again, COMMUNICATE. Plan date night: watch a movie together (movie share websites), play games etc.  Don’t break promises and don’t put yourself in situations that would bring temptation to you or disrespect your boyfriend. It’s simple really, don’t do anything you wouldn’t be comfortable with your bf doing either. Other than that, enjoy college and I wish y’all the best honestly. It’s a long road ahead but if it’s meant to be , it will be. Simple.
