Breakthrough?

Back story, I’ve been exclusively pumping because my son never successfully latched, even with a shield. We tried multiple times per day every day for 3 weeks with the shield but it just never worked so we haven’t tried in 4 weeks (my son is 6 weeks and 5 days old), he would scream and it would just be too stressful for both of us.

He actually initiated nursing today. I was holding him sideways as he was falling asleep and he tried to suck through my sweatshirt which he has never done. So out of curiosity I got the shield and he nursed for 5 min. He then cried and finished with a bottle but wow!
