What do you think of this?

Question

So, my family lives with my husband and I️. My parents and my brother(26). Our house is set up kind of strangely. All our living space is located on the main floor (our master bedroom, kitchen, living and family rooms, office, and bathroom. Downstairs is 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms where my parents and brother live. Therefore, there are two extra bedrooms. My husband and I️ are expecting and want a nursery for our daughter to have her own room. All the rooms downstairs are small. We have a king sized bed, therefore, switching rooms just isn’t an option for us. 
My question is.......is it weird/unfeasible to have our baby’s nursery on a different floor than us considering there’s 3 other adults down there in case of any urgent situation or emergency? Obviously my husband and iwould have a monitor and be the ones to tend to her regular and over night. 
Does anyone have a similar set up? Or any advice to offer?

Does the other extra bedroom have an adult bed right now? Just Incase you want to be closer to the nursery the first couple of weeks? Then once you get in the swing of things - go back upstairs to your current bedroom with your husband? Just incase you don’t want to be too far away from her at first or too tired to go back up to bed 😁 I’m assuming once you and baby are settled in, that the bedroom on different floors won’t be much of a challenge.

We had a pack and play with a bassinet that my daughter slept in until she started sleeping through the night. We live in a townhome and we put her to bed and we are downstairs until we go to bed. We just keep our monitor close by

Having a newborn on a different floor wouldn’t work for me personally. The feedings alllll night, you’ll want to check on her all the time etc. now if you want her nursery there- for clothes and what not, and have a bed in your room for actual sleeping that would be the way I go.
