Hi there. friendly reminder...
I've seen this post a lot recently and just want to address it real quick. the post is "is it ok for me and my hubby to be the only ones in the room during delivery?" Or some variation. the answer is YES. Yes it freaking is. and most hospitals/birthing centers (in the US) have you fill out a form stating who can and can't be in the room or visit and what info can be provided to people who call the hospital. it's called HIPPA. if you're concerned about it or know that you don't want someone there please please please call your hospital and request the paperwork before going into labor. Fill it out and put it in your hospital bag. and if your SO is upset that their mommy or sister or whoever can't be there then that's too bad. it's not their bits and pieces hanging out while pushing a tiny human out of their vagina. it's your choice and you have every right to tell someone no.
