Do you feel an emotional connection to your baby?

I️m 26 weeks and I️m wondering I️f anyone else feels like they don’t have a super strong connection with their baby? My husband is absolutely obsessed and likes to rub and talk to my belly and I just don’t do that? I feel like maybe my connection isn’t as strong and the child is inside of me! 
I️m not upset that I️m pregnant and I️m excited for my baby to be here. I️m hoping that once he is born then i will feel a stronger connection because then I️t will feel real for me? 
Anyone else feel this way?

I honestly had little to no attachment until I underwent an emergency surgery to save their lives at 21 weeks. That’s when it became real to me and I think the severity of the situation made my instincts kick in to start truly worrying about them since my twins could have died. If that didn’t happen though I’m not so sure I’d feel as connected to them as I do now.

Completely normal. I didn’t feel connected my entire pregnancy. It wasn’t until after she was born that the connection grew.

Its so so normal to feel this way. 
I obviously love my baby but its hard to be connected on that deep level until they are born (for some people!) i felt this way with my first, too. The minute i held him and calmed his first cries i felt that deep mother child connection.

At first I didn’t touch my belly or talk to my baby. Then I seen his precious face in a ultrasound and it made it real. Then once he started responding to my voice the emotional connection was instantly there.

I have dreams where I feel like she’s talking to me. Like last night I had a dream I could feel her arms and hands in my belly...weird but interesting
