Is it safe to sleep propped up 2nd-3rd trimester? I'm sick of sleeping on my sides already.

Whenever I lay on my back it's hard to breathe.

Propped up is ok! Have you also tried propping up on your side as well. When I've been sleeping lately I will prop myself up with a lot of pillows. Seems to help my back more than being directly on my side or back

My mum slept propped up when she had me as she had such severe heart burn she was sick when she lay down. I've never had any health problems :)

If I lay on my back, flat, I'll start getting nauseous and feel like everything in my stomach is coming up. I've mastered the perfect pillow angle for me which is to have two pillows, one against the headboard, and the top one laying on the bottom one at half its height so when I lay down on it, it drops to 1/3 height. Sounds precise but it works 😂

I would assume propped up is okay, I would double check with your dr though :)

I'd talk to your Dr about it for reassurance. I can't sleep on my sides for very long because of rib pain. My Dr says it's not an issue for me because of my blood pressure and not getting dizzy, etc. It's perfectly fine for me. I've also read a bunch of studies that agree the "no back sleeping" is just a precaution because SOME women will have circulatory issues with it - but most have no problem.

I read lots of places you can't sleep on your back, so I prop myself up with 3-5 pillows lol so I can sleep on my back. (Im 23 weeks)
